abstract

  • Using data from a longitudinal survey the authors critically evaluate how equal opportunity programmes in South Africa have led to changes in internal labour markets of medium and large organisations. The article identifies factors associated with superior performance in this area, examines proposed legislation, and makes recommendations for public policy regarding regulation of employment equity.
