Power of stories in transferring information: Evidence from a digital storytelling initiative

Abstract

This paper provides evidence from a case study investigation of a cultural digital storytelling initiative on how the art of storytelling in the digital age can serve as a powerful tool in terms of engaging audiences and transferring information effectively. Data collection involved interviews with participants from the general public who experienced cultural digital stories disseminated over multiple media channels. Findings suggest that digital storytelling can be an effective tool for communication and information transfer. The digital stories helped facilitate an entertaining and enjoyable experience for everyday learning.
