Toxic myopathies are an important diagnostic entity in neuromuscular medicine because the correct diagnosis and management lead to clinical improvement without unnecessary treatment. EMG and muscle biopsy in select cases provide diagnostic clues. This chapter provides a practical approach to recognizing the common causes of toxic myopathies.
