The Ventilatory Response to Hypoxia Below the Carbon Dioxide Threshold

Abstract

The ventilatory response to acute progressive hypoxia below the carbon dioxide threshold using rebreathing was investigated. Nine subjects rebreathed after 5 min of hyperventilation to lower carbon dioxide stores.
