Intracranial infarction After chickenpox: Case report
Abstract
Numerous conditions are associated with childhood stroke. We observed an intracranial infarction-in a 2-year-old boy who attended to the emergency department complaining with weakness of his right side. Investigation for infarct etiology was normal except for a history of chickenpox 3 weeks ago. In this case report, we aimed to remind varicella zoster infection as an etiological factor for childhood stroke.
