ELECTRON SPIN RESONANCE OF SPIN-POLARIZED ATOMIC HYDROGEN.

Abstract

Electron spin resonance measurements of spin polarized atomic hydrogen are presented. Quantitative fits to the separately measured a and b (proton up and down) density decay curves of the nuclear spin-polarized samples yield the temperature dependences of the two recombination rate constants K//a//a and K//a//b. Spin relaxation due to magnetic particles in the substrate is studied for different thicknesses of solid H//2 wall coating, and the results compared to a new theoretical model.
