abstract

  • The 31P nuclear magnetic resonance has been studied for the antiferromagnetic state of Cu2P2O7. The external field was smaller but in many cases comparable to the spin flop field. It was necessary to correct for the perturbation of the spin system by the applied magnetic field. The data are compared with the spin configuration determined by neutron diffraction, the transferred hyperfine interaction measured in the paramagnetic state, and the magnitude of distortions from a higher symmetry phase.
