Snowmelt computations for a High Arctic site ( Resolute Bay, Canada).

Abstract

The energy balance approach was used to calculate the snowmelt at a site near Resolute Bay, NW Territories (75oN, 95oW). This study demonstrates that unless the snow cover is extremely patchy, the energy balance approach adequately estimates the rate of snowmelt at a High Arctic site. -from Authors
