NEW CHARGE-TRANSFER MECHANISM ACROSS THE INTERFACE BETWEEN SELENIUM AND POLYSTYRENE HEXYLMETHACRYLATE.

Abstract

In this paper, the authors present a study which elucidates the details of the charge transport mechanism during the imaging process in a particle migration microfilm. This was accomplished by investigating thin film structures composed of amorphous Se and styrene-hexylmethacrylate copolymer, sandwiched between semi-transparent Al electrodes, using transient photocurrent techniques. The results of this study have led to the uncovering of an unusual rate-limited charge-transfer mechanism across the Se-copolymer interface. Details on experimental technique are given; data are plotted and discussed.
