Licensing the ACR-700 - An international experience

The ACR-700 pre-licensing programs in Canada and the USA was discussed. A proposed basis for basis for a common approach to the review of the technical basis for the ACR-700 was also discussed. The common technical basis could be used by both the CNSC and the USNRC within the regulatory framework of both Canada and the US. The objective was to ensure a common safety basis for a successful North American product.
