A DBF array antenna with beam space CMA

Abstract

A digital beamforming (DBF) array antenna with beam space constant modulus algorithms (BSCMA) is developed to implement interference cancellation. A fixed fast Fourier transform (FFT) multibeam former is used as a preprocessor and CMA is used to eliminate interference. The number of degree of freedom of BSCMA is much less than that of the conventional element space CMA (ESCMA). A rapid convergence in BSCMA is also observed than that to ESCMA.
