1.5-μm-band quasiphase-matched wavelength conversions using MGO doped LiNbO3 with strong optical damage resistance

Abstract

Wavelength conversions in quasiphase-match periodically poled Mgo-LiNbO3 (PPMGLN) waveguides were studied. A Ta thin film was deposited on the +Z surface of substrates by sputtering and the periodic Ta electrode pattern was formed by photolithography techniques. Amplified spontaneous emission from an erbium doped fiber amplifier was used as the fundamental light source, and was coupled into the fabricated PPMGLN waveguide using a single mode …
