Ultrashort pulse generation at 1075 nm with a mode-locked semiconductor laser and a ytterbium-doped fiber amplifier

Abstract

Powerful ultrashort pulses are generated using a hybrid MOPA consisting of a passively mode-locked semiconductor laser and a Yb-doped fiber amplifier. Pulses 2 ps in duration are amplified to an average power of 0.8 W. © 2006 Optical Society of America.
