DETERMINATION OF THE INTERFACIAL PARAMETERS IN GAS-SOLID TWO-PHASE PIPE FLOW BY CAPACITANCE TRANSDUCERS.

Abstract

Determination of the interfacial parameters in gas-solid two-phase pipe flow by capacitance transducers have been conducted experimentally and theoretically. Interfacial parameters considered here are interfacial areas, heat transfers, mass transfers and momentum transfers. The strip type and ring type electrodes are used for the capacitance transducers for void fraction measurements and the effect of flow pattern has been removed by carefully applying the theoretical analyses. Two-fluid one-dimensional model for gas-powder flow are used for detail analyses.
