Aspects of current regulation in indirect field oriented control of dual three phase induction machines

Abstract

In this paper current regulation in indirect rotor field oriented control of dual-three phase induction machines (DTPIM) is discussed. The machine has two three phase windings spatially shifted by 30 electrical degrees. The discussed methods use a simple estimator for identifying rotor flux and its orientation. To eliminate the extra harmonic currents of stator windings that produce additional losses, necessary current regulation method is discussed and the best method is presented. The results of discussion are evaluated by simulation and experimentation.
