A Study of Classical Frequency Sampling Filters

Abstract

Classical frequency sampling filter has been studied and used widely for many years, but there are still remaining issues that no theoretical analysis results about the filter's passband, stopband and error bounds have been given clearly. In this paper, the rectangular window filter and the classical frequency sampling filter associated with Lagrange trigonometric interpolation are analyzed systemically, and a theoretical description about the passband, stopband and error bound of the filters are presented also. Some numeric simulation experimental results about the filters are given to validate the theoretical analysis results.
