Wide Band Optical Switch Using Stair Case MMI

We propose a novel design of compact integrated optical switch that works over a wide wavelength band. This switch has low cross talk, low insertion loss, and easy to fabricate. The index profile of the multimode region is an approximate parabolic profile.
