DESIGN OF SAW LINEAR PHASE FILTERS USING THE REMEZ EXCHANGE ALGORITHM.

Abstract

A study has been conducted on the design of a variety of linear phase surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters, including a notch filter, a bandpass filter with unsymmetric amplitude response, and a ten-passband filter. A modified Remez exchange algorithm optimization program was used to obtain the interdigital transducer patterns. Good agreement was obtained between theory and experiment, within the limits of the design constraints applied.
