ADAPTIVE SIGNAL DETECTION.

Abstract

Adaptive signal detection is considered in the context of surveillance radar, using autoregressive (AR) models to describe the received signal. The basic idea of the approach is to formulate a model-dependent likelihood ratio (MDLR) test in terms of AR model parameters. Thus, the radar detection problem is reduced to that of determining which particular type of model family is the most likely one to have generated the observed data.
