This paper presents the necessary element to enable brain spectroscopy and medical applications over the Cloud. The paper presents a model for mobile medical applications for a near real-time binary data exchange over the Cloud. The model was tested with a software simulation and a real fully mobile system that monitors oxygenated hemoglobin (HBO) and deoxygenated hemoglobin (HB) concentration changes in the brain and tissues. The system used global system for mobile communications (GSM) Bluetooth networks and the Cloud. The paper shows it is possible to use the Cloud to enable medical applications.
