Coaxial TiN-CNT Composites as Effective Low Temperature Fuel Cell Electrocatalyst Supports

Abstract

Coaxial titanium nitride (TiN) coated carbon nanotubes (TiN-CNTs) were fabricated by a simple two-step procedure. These novel materials were utilized as Pt electrocatalyst support materials for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and methanol oxidation reaction (MOR).
