MODELING OF LIQUEFACTION AND CYCLIC MOBILITY EFFECTS IN SAND.
Abstract
An isotropic-kinematic hardening rule for sand is presented, applicable to monotonic and cyclic loading conditions. It is based on the theory of bounding surface plasticity incorporating a non-associated flow rule. The proposed concept proves applicable for both loose and dense sands, and in particular liquefaction of loose sand deposits and the effect of cyclic mobility in dense sands can adequately be simulated.
