Water-in-silicone oil emulsions as delivery vehicles for proteinaceous materials

Experiments were conducted to develop formulations to protect protein-based drugs from the stomach but permit release in the higher pH region of the small intenstine. A variety of other enzymes and proteins were examined with different functional silicones.
