Control of Nonpremixed Flames Using Microjets
Abstract
Control of the shape of a non-premixed flame in a quiescent environment by injection of a high-velocity central micro-jet has been investigated experimentally. The flame height and shape change significantly as the central co-flow micro-jet is introduced. The flame also becomes free from the buoyancy-induced flickering.
