Comparative Study of Two Control Methods for a Boost Converter with LC Input Filter: Indirect Sliding-Mode and Flatness Based Control

Abstract

This paper presents a comparative study of two control methods for a system comprising a dc source fed power to load via an LC input filter and a boost converter: indirect sliding mode control and flatness based control. Using indirect sliding-mode the instabilities can be occurred. An active stabilizer is embedded in the system to extend the stability domain. However with the proposed flatness based control these instabilities can be avoided. …
