Differential Flatness Based Control of 3-Phase AC/DC Converter

Abstract

This paper proposes a new control law for a three-phase rectifier (AC/DC converter) for grid connected applications. The study mainly focuses on the innovative control law based on the flatness properties for a three-phase rectifier. Utilizing the flatness principle, we propose simple solutions to the control and stabilization problems. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is validated through experiments on a prototype l-kVA testbed with a dSPACE 1104 controller platform. Experimental results are presented to demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves an excellent performance such as fast transient response.
