Geometric Optimization of Switched Reluctance Motors Using an Invasive Weed Method

Abstract

In this work, invasive weed optimization (IWO) is applied to optimizing different geometric design parameters of switched reluctance motors in order to maximize the static torque profile. These parameters are stator yoke thickness, rotor yoke thickness, stator teeth height, and rotor teeth height.
