  • AbstractThe outgoing President of the International Communication Association (ICA) reflects on the ongoing lack of ethnic and gender diversity reflected in our organization, at our conferences, and in our publications. Referencing past communication scholarship, specifically the constitutive approach, and postcolonial feminist approaches, the essay challenges communication scholars to seek out, read, and cite diverse research, and tackle our shared #Communicationsowhite problem. In so doing, we will expand our research networks, ensuring a rich ICA future whereby our membership, research networks, and publications reflect the diverse communication research that exists globally.
