Megaloblastic anemia in patients receiving total parenteral nutrition without folic acid or vitamin B12 supplementation.

Abstract

Pancytopenia developed in four patients receiving postoperatively total parenteral nutrition (TPN). Symptoms and signs were related mainly to underlying bowel disease.
