Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the use of daily Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE) II scoring in the prediction of individual mortality rates for intensive care unit (ICU) patients. DESIGN: A prospective study of consecutive patients admitted to four university-affiliated ICUs.
