Background. Recurrent chromosomal rearrangements carry prognostic significance in pediatric B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). Recent genome-wide analyses identified a diverse spectrum of chromosomal rearrangements resulting in novel chimeric fusions associated with poor prognosis when treated with conventional chemotherapy.
