Abstract Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) are safe, “green,” hydrophilic nanoparticles. CNCs are added in situ during a semibatch 2‐ethyl hexyl acrylate (EHA)/ n ‐butyl acrylate (BA)/methyl methacrylate (MMA) emulsion polymerization.
