Global Loss Minimization Control of PMSM Considering Cross-Coupling and Saturation

Abstract

A global permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) loss minimization control method is proposed based on nonlinear optimization in this paper. A look-up table based PMSM flux-linkage model is introduced to account for the saturation and cross-coupling effect, and the iron loss model is also numerically developed to account for the harmonic effect.
