Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To assess the presence of thiamine deficiency in congestive heart failure patients receiving furosemide therapy. DESIGN: Prospective, biochemical analysis of thiamine status was performed in outpatients and inpatients of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
