A Continuous Toroidal Winding SRM with 6 or 12 Switch DC Converter
Abstract
A new toroidally wound switched reluctance machine (TSRM) with a single continuous multi-tapped winding (CW) is presented. This machine may be driven by a 6 switch asymmetric converter which supplies uni-polar coil currents, or a 12 switch voltage source converter that supplies bi-polar coil currents.
