Varying Sliding Surface Control of an induction machine drive

Abstract

This paper deals with an application of sliding mode control theory to induction machine. Indeed, the speed of this one is regulated using the field oriented control (FOC). Thus, after the application of the FOC technique by determining the decoupled model of the machine, two sliding mode controllers with simple surfaces (lines) have been applied. Furthermore, in order to reduce chattering phenomenon, a linear feedback with switched gains VSC structures have been chosen instead of the relay control [1]. Simulation study is used to show the performances of the proposed method.
