Robustness Study of a Model-Based Technique for Mechanical Sensorless PMSM

Abstract

The robustness of Matsui's method for PMSM mechanical sensorless control [1] is studied in this paper. The parameter errors are considered as the principal source of uncertainties. Specially for the case of stator resistance uncertainty, a necessary condition is given to ensure low speed operating. Simulation and experimental results illustrate the validity of the analytical study.
