Realization of optical OFDM using time lenses and its comparison with conventional OFDM for fiber-optic systems

It is proposed to use Fourier transforms in optical domain using time lenses both at transmitter and at receiver to realize optical OFDM. Results show that coherent OFDM systems have higher nonlinear tolerance than direct detection OFDM.© VDE VERLAG GMBH.
