Stability of Muon Catalyzed Fusion Systems

Abstract

The temporal stability of a muon catalyzed deuterium-tritium fusion energy system with a variable muon injection mode is investigated. Based on a point kinetics linear systems analysis, it is found that stability is assured for constituent parameter values that presently appear plausible.
