Seismic Retrofit of Steel Frames with Minimal-Disturbance

<p>A design and construction scheme termed Minimal-Disturbance seismic retrofit pursues “Elegance” with the intention of improving the continuity of business while minimizing obstruction of the visual and physical space of building users. This paper presents the concept and verification tests of a damper device for steel moment-resisting frames, which is designed to meet the requirements of the scheme of Minimal-Disturbance.</p>
