Evaluation of Long-Term Thermal Performance of Cellular Plastics Revisited
Abstract
Since the Montreal Protocol has established restrictions on the use of substances, that deplete the ozone layer, evaluation of performance of foams manufactured with alternative blowing agents, partially halogenated hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFC) in particular, became a high priority issue. This paper reviews the issues involved in the evaluation of long-term thermal performance under service conditions and presents an agenda for further research.
