A neutron diffraction study of stoichiometric and reduced LaCr0.6Ni0.4O3
Abstract
The structures of LaCr0.6Ni0.4O3 and LaCr0.6Ni0.4O2.8 have been determined by Rietveld refinement of neutron powder diffraction data. LaCr0.6Ni0.4O3 adopts the orthorhombic GdFeOs structure with space group Pnma, a = 5.4735(1) Å, b = 7.7568(2) Å, c = 5.5105(1) Å, V = 233.96 Å3, Z = 4. LaCr0.6Ni0.4O2.8 is rhombohedral, with space group R3̄c, and a = 5.5264(3) Å, c = 13.2991(4) Å, V = 351.754 åA3, Z = 6.
