Neuropathic pain as a process: reversal of chronification in an animal model

Abstract

Peripheral neuropathic pain arises from trauma to sensory nerves. Other types of acute neurotrauma such as stroke and spinal cord injury are treated immediately, largely to prevent secondary damage.
