Perinatally diagnosed asymptomatic congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation: to resect or not?
Abstract
BACKGROUND: Management of asymptomatic congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation (CCAM) is controversial. The natural history of untreated asymptomatic CCAM is unknown, although most surgeons recommend resection of these lesions to prevent future infection.
