Isaac Pratt
Research Data Management Specialist

Overview

I am a Research Data Management Specialist, working in the Digital Scholarship and Infrastructure division of McMaster University Libraries. My work centers around supporting researchers tackling data management. My expertise is in data management planning, data storage & backup, data security, and data deposit and sharing. I am also a member of MREB and can help with setting up data management systems for research projects involving human participant or other sensitive data.

My own research was focused on how bone microstructures evolved in animals to support flight and different patterns of locomotor behaviour. I am interested in non-destructive three dimensional methods of imaging. Because bone is a three dimensional material, methods like microCT at high resolution are needed to get a complete understanding of how bone is structured. I have a PhD (2018) in Anatomy & Cell Biology from the University of Saskatchewan.
