Ben Mccutchen
Assistant Clinical Professor, Psychiatry & Behavioural Neurosciences

Dr. Ben McCutchen is a general psychiatrist at Homewood Health Centre. He completed his psychiatry residency training in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at McMaster University, Waterloo Regional Campus. He completed his undergraduate medical degree at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University, also at the Waterloo Regional Campus, and a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He has an active interest in medical education, as the co-creator and faculty coordinator of the One Room Schoolhouse curriculum at the Waterloo Regional Campus of McMaster University. He has an interest in health policymaking, having previously completed a one-year undergraduate fellowship at the McMaster Health Forum in Hamilton, Ontario and an research internship at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. He has an academic interest in evidence-based policymaking, mental health and the law, and optimizing mental health care delivery in primary care settings.
