Dr Martin is an Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine

She has been awarded the Mission Legacy Award – St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (Oct/19): Awarded to the Addictions Medicine Service for its contribution to patient care; the W. Watson Buchanan Clinician Educator Award (Jul/19): Awarded to support educational and research innovation from the Faculty of Health Science; the Postgraduate Medical Education Resident Leader Award (Jun/17): Presented to a resident with outstanding contribution to residency education; the William J. Walsh General Internist Award (May/17): Presented to a resident in General Internal Medicine who demonstrates excellence in clinical care and teaching, among others.

She completed her B.M.Sc. Honours Specialization in Medical Biophysics, at the University of Western Ontario (2004-2008), her MD at the University of Ottawa (2008-2012), her Core Internal Medicine Residency and General Internal Medicine Fellowship, at McMaster University and, most recently, a Master's in Health Professionals Education at Maastricht University, Netherlands.

Dr Martin is interested in the clinical focus in Addictions Medicine and enjoys soccer and travel in her free time.
