  • Description/Learning Outcomes This program is designed to present the fundamental components of the project management process, as well as the application of effective management, leadership, and communication strategies. Learners study how to build a complete project plan, measure project execution vs. the plan, effectively hand-off results, and properly close a project. Upon completion of the program, participants are able to: Recognize the purpose and benefits of project management and apply the language and terminology of project management to the organization of complex professional tasks. Clearly define the ‘scope’ of a project, build a budget and timeline for a project, and apply risk management to reduce surprises. Identify and apply key leadership skills to become more effective as a project manager. Practice a variety of communication management approaches and communication styles. Deal with conflict among project team members, provide effective peer feedback, and motivate diverse teams to collaborate effectively and meet project objectives. Create an in-depth project plan using intermediate-level project management skills. Apply advanced scope definition, schedule development, and cost determination skills. Fully develop project risk, quality, and procurement plans. Effectively control and manage project execution, overseeing project resources through the stages of development, and properly close a project.
