K-shell excitation of HCN by electron energy loss spectroscopy

Abstract

Small angle inelastic scattering of fast electrons has been used to study carbon and nitrogen K-shell excitation and ionization of HCN. The K→π* transitions in HCN have been investigated with high resolution.
