Airway responsiveness to inhaled methacholine in patients with irritable bowel syndrome

Abstract

We examined whether patients with irritable bowel syndrome have increased airway responsiveness by measuring forced expiratory volumes in 1 second (FEV1) after inhalation of increasing concentrations of methacholine.
